About PTP
Serving Fishtown and Kensington
PTP works to promote a healthy, equitable, and sustainable urban forest through education, tree planting, and ongoing tree maintenance. Our efforts not only aim to expand the city’s tree canopy but also to preserve and nurture its existing tree cover, while educating local residents & partners on proper tree care and stewardship.
PTP collaborates closely with civic associations, neighborhood groups, local businesses, community members, and friends to raise awareness about the many benefits of trees and their positive impact on crime reduction, housing, health, and the environment. We believe trees are essential to the well-being of any community, and our goal is to plant as many as possible to enhance these vital contributions.
Mission
Philly Tree People’s mission is to increase and protect tree coverage in 19125 and 19134 by facilitating the planting of trees and educating the community on the importance of caring for our urban forest.
Vision
Philly Tree People is dedicated to supporting and advocating for a healthy, equitable, and sustainable ecosystem.
